Today I did 10 rounds body weight strength circuit using 25 lbs in the weight vest. I kept the reps low and took little to no rest between movements.
Here’s what the circuit looked like:
10 rounds with 25 lb weight vest using the USA
- 5 pull ups
- 5 push ups
- 5/5 one leg suspended squats
- 5 atomic prone rockers (no joke!)
What the hell are prone atomic rockers??
I made that one up.
I didn’t know what to call them but the where pretty brutal and that’s why I only did 5 at a shot.
Of coarse there will be a video to follow this up. I filmed it, but didn’t have time to upload because my new running partner was waiting for me.
I believe that anyone who wants to get themselves out of a rut, get their bodies moving and shed a few pounds should get a dog.
After taking several years off from running, I’m starting to enjoy it again thanks to my new running partner.
Louie can run all day. He thinks that my running is a joke! I look back and he’s pretty much laughing in my face as I’m struggling up the hills. Can’t you just see the sarcastic look on his face?
I’ve been feeling good with the body weight training. Any aches and pains that I’ve been experiencing are starting to fade.
Our Sunday mountain biking group has been a great supplement to training and has really helped my conditioning. I believe that the biking has been great therapy for my body and mind.
It’s a great feeling to be out in the middle of the woods with a bunch of manly dudes charging it hard, busting balls and laughing our asses off!!
