I’ve been meaning to update my blog, but have been getting side tracked by other things lately.

Now that we have been fortunate enough to recover from “Super Storm Sandy”, it’s time for me to keep up with my updates.

My new favorite kettlebell snatch workout!

I do at least one snatch workout per week.

I will definitely use this as one of my staples.

The gym’s been pretty busy these days, and my time has been limited.

Between work and getting ready for our upcoming kettlebell certification, my training time is minimal.

But, there is no excuse for not getting something done!

10 rounds of body weight strength and a nice trail run!

Today I did 10 rounds body weight strength circuit using 25 lbs in the weight vest. I kept the reps low and took little to no rest between movements.

Here’s what the circuit looked like:

10 rounds with 25 lb weight vest using the USA

5 pull ups
5 push ups
5/5 one leg suspended squats

Double Kettlebell and Body Weight Hell

Here’s a nasty little workout I did yesterday using double kettlebell and body weight movements.

20 seconds of work at each movement non-stop.

I used 9 movements of 20 seconds each for a total of 3 minutes work.

Take 1 minute rest and do 6 rounds total.

Double kettlebell swings
Double kettlebell burpees
Double kettlebell snatches
Mountain climbers
Double kettlebell Jerks

Try this 25 minute workout three ways!

Give this a try and let me know how you do.

Variation #1:

Do the following movements on the 5 minute mark for 5 rounds

5 tire flips
10 double kettlebell jerks
15 box jumps
20 kipping pull ups (or ring rows)

Variation #2:

Get as many rounds as you can in 25 minutes of the above movements.
