Measuring Progress

By measuring progress, we know there’s physical improvement in ourselves.

Therefore, we will, once again, start adding some simple fitness tests and time trials into our programming at The Training Room.

Giving ourselves attainable goals to shoot for WILL create a more sustainable and motivational training environment.

The first test of this 4 week training block will be a 2,000 meter time trial!

Here’s how we will do this on Thursday!

First, pick your choice of cardio (item)

  • Row
  • Bike
  • Ski
  • Run (5 x block)

Then we will begin with some intervals of 1 minute of work with a minute rest for 5 rounds.

Ramp it UP!

With each round, you increase your exercise intensity!

After 5 rounds of 1 minute work/1 minute rest, we will rest for 2-3 minutes (full recovery)

Next…

You will get back on your cardio item, set it up for 2,000 meters (bike is 4,000 and the run is 5 times around the block) and complete the distance as fast as you can (time trial).

Record you Time.

It’s a good idea to write your time on board or even taker a picture of the screen.

In 4 weeks time, we will retest!

LET’S GO!

Have some fun with this!
