Today we will give you two options…

If you are doing the Warrior Challenge this weekend and wan to tune up for it, you will have the option of the Warrior Challenge specific training session.

Even if you’re not doing the WC, and want to give yourself a nice challenge, you can choose this option.

The other option will be an interval conditioning session.

Warm up with 5 minutes of joint mobility and then a circuit warm up.

Warrior Challenge Tune up.

  • Run 1/2 mile with a sand bag (women 20 lbs, men 40 lbs)
  • Run 1/2 mile with out the sand bag
  • Max pull ups or ring row ( do as many as you can). Chin needs to be over the bar on the pull ups with full lockout of elbows and hands must hit the chest each times on the rows with full lockout of the elbows and spine neutral.
  • 2 minute burpee test (get as many as you can. Chest must hit the ground and finish with a jump, hands overhead.)
  • 2 minute sit up test (do this with a partner anchoring feet and counting reps. Hands laced behind head. Elbows must touch thighs for reps to count.)
Interval conditioning option…
  • Run/row/ski/versa/air dyne or watt bike intervals
Advanced do 6x 500 meters alternating with a partner
Beginners can do 5×500 meters
