Hey Training Room Family…
Remember, if you are participating in the 30 day challenge and you missed last nights weigh-in, you can weigh in at either gym tomorrow, or at the Rec Center on Wednesday.
Devon Smith is scheduled as our first guest speaker next Monday night at 8 PM at the Rec Center.
We originally had the meetings scheduled for 7:30, but since we added a 7 PM class, they have been moved to 8 PM.
If you have ever seen one of Devon’s food demos, you already know how great of job she does.
Tuesday is body weight strength endurance day and we will be working with all body weight movements.
The beauty of working with you own body weight is that you can adjust the level of difficulty just by changing the position of your body.
Minimal equipment required!
We should always strive for perfection on ALL of the body weight movements.
This body weight strength workout can be done a few different ways.
Get as many rounds as you can in 30 minutes of the following movements with the prescribed amount of reps.
- 5-10 pull-ups or 10 ring rows
- 5/5 pistols or split squats (add weight where necessary)
- 10 knees to chest or 5-10 Power Wheel roll outs or walkouts
- 10 calories or 100 revolutions on the jump rope
- 10 push-ups any variations (add weight or bands if needed)
Circuit through these body weight movements.
This body weight strength circuit can also be done on the beep for 30 seconds work and 30 seconds rest for 6 rounds.
Enjoy!
Here’s a cool assisted pull up variation for you to try IF you don’t want to do them off of your knees and WANT more core involvement.
