Nice to see you blogging Jim .. What’s the rate/pace for the bike rides ?
The bike rides paces were around 18.mph. They were used mostly as recovery rides after the long runs.

It’s up to the individual to do some research on foods. The list is on the white board, you have to figure out what to do with it. It’s a very simple way of eating and it works. Tom gave us some good science behind it. If anyone has questions on ingredients or cooking technique or recipes…I’d be happy to answer any questions.
No problem. Though I did face some confusion over things, there was some good information from Tom and from those who contributed to the discussion. I think I have a fairly good idea how to proceed and there are good resources around the TR available if I have questions.

Wow this is deceiving! Was able to get ten rounds of 250 in with the rower but had to cut it cause of time (still had 15 seconds left after 10th burpee). Someone was on the rower when I got to the gym so I did 4 400m repeats on the treadmill while he finished. I was happy I kept the row between 53-57 seconds each roubd

I can’t get in as much as I’d like because of work/family, so I use the home workouts A LOT! Even if a few exercise, I’m able to tailor it so I can at least get some movement/strength/exercise in- even on my lunch!

I love this workout I dubbed the TR Classic Pain Train. Simple but so brutal. It’s my go to home workout or when I’m crucnhed for time. Only had 15 minutes and barely got 7 rounds in. It’s a great benchmark where I am in my conditioning. I got some work to do. Thanks guys!

Wow this was a lot harder than I thought. I did not finish in the 30 min time cap. I finished round 6 at 28:21 and honestly didn’t even start round 7. Whenever I need to be humbled or check my conditioning, I always turn to a TR classic like this. Brutal!

Great workout today
Wow this was a kick in the gut. Surprisingly the burpees and swings weren’t as bad as I thought, just daunting to get a 100. After about 20 yards into the bear carwl I was ready to throw in the towel. And I thought the row at the end would be the easiest, for lack of better terms. But boy was I wrong. Longest six minutes of pain I have felt in a very long time. Loved it and am loving the new programming!!

I enjoyed an awesome workout at 8:45 a.m. this morning!! I played my own music!! This is an excellent option during tough times. I miss the group setting but in the meantime this is great.

No wonder I’m crazy sore today! It took me 19mins! I thought maybe we are just upping the at home game…as I knew it didn’t fall within the regular timing sequence!

Hey guys, excellent workout. Video during warm up was in and out but the main workout was perfect. Audio has improved but still could be better. These workouts are a great temp replacement for in the gym. Thanks.

Amanda and I just finished. We appreciate the full video. We rarely do the warm up and cool down at home. Going through the entire gym session video was awesome! Great workout! I completed 6 rounds of the finisher but went after 10 min. Amanda did 41/2 rounds.
Tony: We set the workouts up so that we alternate days of strength and days of conditioning. If you want to get a mix, then do 2 strength 1 conditioning and next week do 2 conditioning workouts and one strength. I hope that helps!

What worked for me was folding the towel in half horizontally then rolling it vertically…this way it had more of a tail and I was able to whip it against the floor, still getting into a semi squat stance…almost like using a rope! 😉

First off, I loved connecting w my NJ Training Room summer family. Thanks for doing this. All things back to normal, you will see me in person in June.
Work out comments and tips….
Great work out.
Great warm up and cool down.
This type of work out, (3 sets of 3 exercises) I think goes well with remote video as you just do the three exercises over and over till you. are prompted to rest then change.
As my wifi did not work well outside on my driveway, I had no visual past the warm up….as others may have similar problems…really good verbal cues are important. I was able to follow Alicia well, but I would suggest to do lots of verbal exercise and time cues. And as it is hard to do the work out and try to see (squint) into the phone/laptop, we should all be able to do these workouts just by sound.
Also, with the earbuds in for Alicia (which is good) we only hear her really. We can not hear the other comments, grunts, bad jokes (Mike), or anyone else commenting. So it’s the Alicia show.
Another suggestion…maybe at the beginning of the work out you can do…a list of equipment we would need for the entire workout. I know the workout is on the app and the web site…but if this is a stand alone video, it would be great.
All in all a great sweat for me here in Texas. Thanks friends! Stay well and in isolation.
BTW….did not count my reps as “THIS ISN’T CROSSFIT, KATE”….that’s what Jim always says to me when I come back from my TX Crossfit. LOL!

Hey Justin! I’ve been making them for members. I’ve been ordering 120 feet of rope at a time from a supplier and making them myself. It takes 12 feet of rope to make 1 rope.
