Mid Week Strength with Active Rest
It’s mid week! The biggest challenge is showing up! Let’s get stronger on Wednesday with 1 minute strength with active rest.
Let’s keep things rolling!
We’re covering all the important/basic strength movements because the basics get results!
After each interval, we will take an active rest, which can mean a variety of things.
Active rest options can look like any the following…
- Ab work
- Light movement (jumping jacks,Pegs, jump rope)
- Mobility work or perhaps some stretching
- Band work (band pulls etc) to work on some imbalances
- Light dumbbell movements for shoulders or arms
- Some mace swings
- Ketlebell carry
Use your active rest to work on things that you think you may need.
Here are your strength movements with several options to choose from.
1 minute work/1 minute active rest x 5 rounds
- Swings, cleans, snatches or deadlift choice
- Press choice (overhead, floor, kneeling, seated, push up variations)
- Squat choice, upper body pull choice or kettlebell long cycle
Let’s work hard and get the most out of this one!
Here’s a classic from 15 years ago when we did the Avon 5k while carrying kettlebells.
Have a great Wednesday!
