Pick your Poison Saturday
Saturday’s workout will be another fan favorite Training Room Classic that you will want to show up for…
We’ve got a pick your poison strength session lined up!
This one is will be done a little bit differently then usual. (2 parts)
You will work for 30 seconds / rest for 15 seconds for and do 20 minutes focusing on strength movements.
Afer twenty minutes of strength focused movements, we will do 10 minutes of more conditioning based movements
Here’s how it will look.
Each Member will choose a strength exercise and we continue through the group for as many times as needed to hit 20 minutes!
The last 10 Minutes might will a speed round with quicker, cardio based exercises.
Here is a short list of exercises to choose from…
You will choose one side for a single sided exercise! Let’s GO!
- Squats
- lunges
- crawling
- cleans
- presses
- snatches
- deadlifts
- combination exercises (clean & press or clean & squat)
- rows
- push ups
- plank
- push up plank
- knees to chest (or any other abdominal choice)
- and many more…
Here’s an example of some cardio based movements…
- Squat thrusts
- Burpees
- Skaters
- Body weigth squat options such as drop squats or squat jumps
- Jumping jacks
- Quick feet or quick steps
- Freestyle agility moves (think Sidewalk Sue stuff)
- Star jumps
- kettlebell swings
- Slam ball
- You are only limited to your imagination
Make sure to commit to the Ergathlon!
Even if you cannot make the date of February 18, you should still register and complete the challenge at the gym.
This is a charity event where proceeds will go to Joan Dancy and PALS for people living with ALS.
Current Rehab and Performance is hosting the event in their Belmar location.
