Starting with Strength

Monday is a strength focus, it’s also week 5 of our 8 week training block which means we will be repeating the last 4 weeks of workouts, starting with strength.

We program this way so you can see marked improvement in your training or maybe go a little bit heavier on some of your weights you used on the same workouts from the last 4 weeks.

Small gradual improvements are best and also the safest.

It’s a marathon and not a sprint!

If we were to just throw randon workouts at you with no rhyme or reason, progression would be minimal.

Here’s what we’ve got for you on Monday.

1 minute of work with a 1 minute active rest between exercises…

Complete 5 rounds of the following:
  • Clean, swing, snatch, or deadlift choice
  • Push press or push ups
  • Squat choice or row/pull choice

Active rest can be any light movement including some of the following:

  • Abs
  • Mobility or band work
  • Mace swings
  • Bulgarian bag movements
  • Light cardio or rope flow
  • Light dumbbell upper body accessory work (arms and shoulders)
