Strength with Active Rest
This is week 3 of our 4 week cycle at The Training Room and we’ll be kicking it off with some strength inlcuding active rest between each set.
Staying active between sets will give you the opportunity to work on things you may want or need.
Perhaps you would like to try out a new skill such as mace swings (a great choice for active rest as well as shoulder mobility)

Here are a few options for active rest…
- Abs
- Mace swings
- Jump rope
- Rope flow
- Bulgarian bag
- Light dumbbell shoulder work
- Bicep or Tricep work
- Mobilty or foam rolling
- Band work
- Farmer carries
- Light cardio
Here’s your strength circuit for Monday:
1 minute of work with a minute of active rest x 5 rounds (15 sets total)
- Swing, clean, deadlift choice or snatch r/l
- Single or double kettlebell or dumbbell push press, see saw press, floor press or push up
- Squat choice (double front squat, goblet squat, split squat, lunge choice) or Kettlebell long cycle
